Welcome to my channel!
This channel is dedicated to stepping away from the digital world we all live in today, and finding ways to connect with the beautiful world of nature that is all around us.
You will find much of the outdoors on this channel, from fishing to anything else that takes my fancy. Knife sharpening, compass navigation, outdoor cooking, or just enjoying nature. Anything that I love, really.
In the end I'm just a guy who likes a lot of things, and enjoys sharing them here. No promotions, no hype, just having fun!

I See Your a 1911 Guy Like Me Mike 😊❤️😊
I like fat slow moving projectiles and i cannot lie.
Could It Be a Bad New Battery Mike 😐😐
Great day at the lake. That catfish was a beast. Amazing catch👍🏽
Thank you.
Continue long format please!
Thanks, I will.
I clean mine ever time
Brother i don't have a clue when it comes to that. I don't think I could even put a battery in a watch. I would have to have it done. LOL 🤣
Nice catch my friend
Hi, Gino! Thanks.
Hi Mike 😀 That’s A Big One
Thanks, Chris! He or she was a lot of fun.
Awesome catch. BTW. I apologize I know this isn't pertaining to your video. I ordered my first translucent from Dan's. I'm pumped. LOL 😂
Sweet! As far as sharpening and stones go, that is and always will be part of this channel. Thanks for watching!
@@analogoutdoors And Strait Razor Shaving 😶🌫️👍🏼
Greetings from Denmark 🎣
Welcome! And thanks.
Here in Tennessee we call them Red-eyes. They look between a bluegill and a brim. Super fun to catch
All of the little sunfish species are a blast!
Another Great Day and Video Mike 😊😀
Thanks, Chris!
i'm new to sharpening and i think this is just the natural motion that i feel comfortable using. eventually i'll try to be a little more precise. for now i get sharp edges but they're not very consistent. i like your channel, thanks for the sharpening instruction. also gonna try my hand at fishing sooner or later. been enjoying your fishing series as well. keep up the good work sir!
Thanks!
Love this fishing its catching a piece of mind.your telling secrets the big boys don't wanna tell love it!
Appreciated.
Beautiful job as always, Mike. I’m sure that particular knife steel won’t hold that keen edge long, but you know how to keep that edge refined.
Thanks. I believe it is 4116. It's a common cutlery steel for inexpensive knives. No, it will not on it's own hold an edge long, but a pasted strop is capable of bringing it back.
I never have sharpen that way. I just can't get used to it
Looks like a fun time mike.
I'm loving fishing again after so many decades off the water. And the little pannies are a favorite. Tough little boogers.
Hi Again Mike 😀😊😀
Hi, Chris!
I do the same thing, but I use silica sand to help a concrete block flatten my oilstone.
Makes me want to go fish
Good. My plan is coming together, lol.
Nice Fish and Music Mike 😀
Thanks, Chris! Was a fun day.
❤
Hi Again Mike 😀👍🏼
Hi, there, Chris!
Brother you can't beat fishing with a night crawler
Nope, sure can't!
new sub good sruff
Thanks, and welcome!
How does a Wilkinson Sword Classic shave with the Astra Superior Platinum blades? Is it a mild shave or an aggressive one? I have irritation on the neck when I go against the grain with the Wilkinson Sword Classic and Gillette Stainless or Gillette Platinum blades.
I've never shaved a Wilkinson Sword Classic, but the Astra Greens are the best workhorse blade I know of; they seem to work pretty well in anything I've put them in, for me. They are cheap, give them a try and see.
@@analogoutdoors Thanks.
Perty!
Snagged Him Mike Nice One 😊😀
Thanks Mike I Didn’t Know You Could Use Both I Figured Once Oil Was On It It’s Permanently an Oil Stone 😮😀👍🏼
If you don't wash your stones after use you are correct. You'd have to soak it in something to pull the oil out. But I wash any stone I use oil on with hot tap water and dish soap after each use, and I've never had an issue.
@@analogoutdoors Great Tip I Will Do That From Now On 😀
The 8k Norton is closer to like a 5k Shapton pro in grit. The King is a true 8k
Nice Lil Guy For The Frying Pan 😀😊 Mike

She is a Beautiful Fish Indeed 😀
Good looking water. I love to fish 🐟
I am blessed with beautiful country. Thanks for watching.
Hi Mike 😀😇👍🏼
Hi, Chris!
Good looking water 💦
It sure is. Thank you.
That's some beautiful water right there! Thanks
Thank you.
Hi, I bought a Velbon MS-3, and as you said, it is an excellent tripod. When I bought it, it was incomplete, the attachment that secures the camera to the tripod is missing. I am in Sydney, Australia, If you or anyone else on the channel has one or knows where I can get one, I would be grateful if you let me know, please. Franklin
I wish I could help you. If you mean that the head is gone, you can put a ball head on that tripod easily enough. If that is what you mean, that is what i would do. You can find a video on that in the link below. ua-cam.com/video/Gd2NJwX_TzU/v-deo.htmlsi=9TesHibFh3y5_KeJ
Caught Him Mike 😊😀
What kind of powder?
I just received the vef-3 version of this tripod and I was looking for some information on it. Yours seems way nicer then mine. I ordered a quick release mount for it. It's not as sturdy as yours. Thanks for sharing your tripod!
You are welcome. I have another version of this as well, the VE-3 It is a good quality tripod as well, but the fit of the legs is looser, I imagine over time this happened. But it is still a good solid tripod, and if I spread the legs out the way they are supposed to be there are no issues. For the small sum I paid for either one I think they were a screaming deal. I would buy every single one I found at those prices. MHO.
No more shaving videos?
Perhaps occasionally, but that is no longer the focus of this channel.
@@analogoutdoors that's to bad, really enjoyed your shave videos. God bless!
I appreciate you and everyone that found me because of shaving. It came down to the fact that I have taught everything I could and done everything I could with wet shaving, and it was time to focus on something different. Otherwise I'd just be rehashing the same old things.I have an enormous back catalog on shaving; that will remain and hopefully help many for a long time to come. Bless you, my friend. I hope you stick around; there's lots here to enjoy as well.
F*** digital! Go analog!!👍
I Like The New Channel Name Analog Outdoors Mike 😀😇😊
Thanks, Chris. Thought it was time.
